Branch Banister is cleaned to remove the loose bark and moss and lichen. This is different than removing the bark from sticks.

Mountain laurel branches grow in various organic shapes and are never perfectly straight or consistent in diameter from end to end. Branch diameter and shape will vary, and may not meet building code requirements. Please assess your specific needs and local code before installation.
Locust Branch Banister in approximate 2″ diameter. Locust is much straighter and consistent in diameter than mountain laurel and also comes in longer pieces, up to 8 feet. Optional stain or polyurethane can be added to bark-off locust.

Locust Branch Banister
We also have Locust Branch Banister in approximate 2″ diameter. Locust is much straighter and consistent in diameter than mountain laurel. There are two options: bark on or bark off. The bark on locust is $30 per linear foot. The bark off is $40 per linear foot and is sanded but unfinished. Stain or poly on the peeled locust is $10/lf additional.
